House Ag Ranking Member Praises Sugar Policy Print

With a Farm Bill around the corner and a handful of agriculture opponents looking to gut U.S. sugar policy, CollinHeadphones-icon Peterson (MN), the top Democrat on the House Agriculture Committee, reaffirmed his support for continuation of no-cost sugar policy. According to Peterson, "The current [sugar] program is working [and] being administered right.  I don't think there needs to be any change."


His support appears to be shared with other leaders on Capitol Hill and within agricultural circles. Peterson's entire interview can be heard here.
